In each eighth grade religion class during the months of October and November, a student will deliver a 20-minute presentation that traces significant developments in Church History occurring in his or her assigned century. Each student has been provided with a one-page description of the assigned century taken from the Collegeville Timeline of Church History (the basis for our previous memory rooms exercise). Students will choose the specific manner of presentation (student-made film, drama, cartoon strip, puppet show, song(s), lecture, power point, hand-crafted board game, etc.). There will be an open copybook test after each four centuries have been presented, designed by the presenters themselves.

Test on Fifth through Eighth Centuries: 10/27
Test on Ninth through Twelfth Centuries: 11/4
Test on Thirteenth through Sixteenth Centuries: 11/15

Each student will be provided the segments of the Philadelphia Archdiocese Guidelines that specifically relate to his or her assigned century. It is incumbent upon each student to communicate the importance of these names, events, and concepts in as effective and entertaining a way as possible.
