The following presentations will constitute both a Reading and a Communication grade on the date each is given:
9/26: BB, RS, and TH will present "Letters About Literature"'s worksheet dealing with the ways books can change lives (using personal and historical examples to bolster their arguments (Worksheet A)
9/27: CB, CK, and RM will discuss actual letters sent to the contest and comment on their merits (Worksheet B)
9/28: AB and KG will discuss the need to correspond over merely complimenting the author in Worksheet (Worksheet D)
9/29: EC and JaP will examine the crucial difference between Synthesizing and Summarizing (Worksheet E)
10/2: CH and LS will offer tips on how to build the lead paragraph of your letter (Worksheet F)
10/3: EJ and JK will show the relationship between the opening paragraph (Worksheet F) and the closing paragraph of letter (Worksheet G)
10/4: SR and KT will discuss the necessity of making interesting vocabulary selections in letter (Worksheet H)
10/5: BF, JeP, and MR will review the five area rubric that must be followed in this assignment after constructing a rubric for their fellow students . Much of this standard 1-3 point rubric will be assembled from listening to points raised by the previous committees (Worksheet I).
