Our Mother of Consolation Yearbook and Activities
Class of 2018
2. Students must obtain approval from Mr. Leonard for appropriate times and locations
of photos
3. Pictures should include
a. Bulletin board work
b. Scenes from plays such as The Devotion of Carlos Rodriguez
c. Assemblies
d. Specials: Phys. Ed, Computer, Spanish, Art, Music and colorful assignments
B. Artwork for Yearbook Cover
1. Students volunteer their artwork for cover
2. Deadline for submission is mid-January of 2018
3. Appropriate images only: e.g., something that inspired student at O.M.C.; faith-based
drawings, etc.
4. Yearbook name, “The Summit”, must be incorporated into drawing
5. Principal and committee of teachers will determine the winning cover
C. Student Pages
1. Each student will contribute to the content of his or her two pages in the yearbook
2. Student work, such as art or poetry, will be featured on these pages alongside
photos
3. Any theme for student pages will be decided by class
4. Students will bring in pictures from home of their past and present school life at
O.M.C.
a. Baby pictures will also be gathered by students for additional section of yearbook
D. Parent volunteer will coordinate yearbook deadlines with Mr. Leonard
II. Fundraisers
A. Students will assist parents with in-school Bake Sales
1. Tables set up during lunch in main hallway
a. Two students at a time will man the tables for 20-minute slots
III. Other Class Requirements
A. Class trips will be arranged by teacher
1. All chaperones (and those involved in in-school production of yearbook) must
have clearances on file through the school
B. Cap and Gown
1. Ordered by parent volunteer
2. Students will be measured in class
3. Yearbook cap and gown photos will be taken by Mr. Leonard, as Lifetouch photos
in cap and gown are done too late in year
